Change Management. Wew! Why are people so reluctant to change!

Recently, a leading global online food delivery platform brought me in to address the very same issue - their finance department was facing tough challenges when inspiring other departments to adopt new processes which were ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฒ.
The company brought me in as I am known for my persuasion and stakeholder management workshops. So let's read that sentence again and see if you can spot the fatal error in persuasion and motivation.
Yes, a large reason why people are reluctant to change is because they fail to see the "๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ'๐ฌ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐?". In this case study, the reason why the other departments are unwilling to adopt the new procedures is because they can see WHY the new procedures are:
a) Good for the company
b) Good for the finance department
c) Good for the customer
d) Good for regulators
But how is it GOOD FOR ME?
